| Anne Bartone, MSW | Men's Relationships with Animal Companions Interested in helping researchers learn more about the bond between a man and his dog? Under the direction of Dr. Chris Blazina, Anne Bartone, MSW, a PhD student in Counseling Psychology at Tennessee State University is requesting participation from adult men (18 years or older) who have some experience with romantic relationships (past or present) and have/had at least one special canine (dog) companionship.

| Tae Hyuk (Brian) Keum, BS | Exploring Body Image Issues in Asian Men The study aims to explore body image issues in heterosexual Asian men by examining the salience of muscularity-oriented ideals within the context of Western media and cultural influences. We invite heterosexual Asian men who are 18 years or older and currently residing in North America to participate in this study. The survey should take about 15-20 minutes of your time. | Fernando Estrada, PhD | Men’s Issues and Health This study is examining aspects of masculinity that are associated with health. Men of all backgrounds are encouraged to participate. This study will contribute our understanding of more adaptive forms of masculinity. You can take the 15-minute survey if you are 18 and older. Participants can enter a drawing a $50 gift card. | Christina Rummell, MA, & David Tokar, PhD | A Study of Sexual Minority Persons in the Workplace The purpose of this study is to better understand the decisions that sexual minority persons make about disclosing their sexual identity in the workplace. Eligible participants include those who are non-heterosexual, age 18 and over, and employed 15 or more hours per week. Participants will complete an online survey (taking approximately 20-30 minutes), and have the option to enroll in a drawing for one of several Amazon.com giftcards. We welcome participants of all sexual and gender identities, but are especially seeking men who identify as gay, bisexual, queer, questioning, or MSM. Contact: Christina Rummell, MA.

| Denise Hines, PhD | Men's Experiences with Partner Aggression Researchers at Clark University and Bridgewater State University are conducting a study on men who experienced aggression from their girlfriends, wives, or female partners. If you are a man between the ages of 18-59 and have experienced aggression from a female partner at some point during your life, you may be eligible to participate in this study. The survey takes about 20-30 minutes to complete, is under the direction of Denise A. Hines, PhD and is being funded by the National Institutes of Health. Participation is completely voluntary and you can withdraw your participation at any time.

| Ronald Levant, PhD, & Joel Wong, PhD | Masculinity Study The purpose of this research project is to gain a better understanding of men’s experiences of masculinity. We are particularly interested in recruiting Asian American, Latino, and African American men for this project because we believe it’s important to have an inclusive representation of masculinity experiences. Participants will participate in the study online, completing a survey consisting of four questionnaires. We anticipate that the study should take about 15 minutes to complete. As a token of our appreciation, men who participate will be able to enter a raffle to win one of four $50 gifts. You must be a man 18 years or older to participate. | David Adams, MA & Donald Nicholas, PhD | Catholic Males’ Religiousness, Masculinity, and Sexuality The purpose of this investigation is to better understand the relationship between religiousness, masculinity, and sexuality. To participate in this study, you must identify as a Catholic, heterosexual male, living in the United States, and are at least 18 years of age. This study consists of a demographics form and seven instruments. It should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. Participation in this study is completely voluntary and you are free to withdraw your permission at any time for any reason without penalty. The researcher will donate $0.50 to Catholic Relief Services for each survey completed.
